"Chance"
1995 Australian Pony stallion
ridden by Chastity Morland
When it came time to find our standing pony stallion, Maia was incredibly adamant that he not be a Welsh Pony. It took almost three years of searching before our resident veterinarian, John Fairburn, called Maia at five in the morning from Connecticut and told her to "come on up to Plainfield". Three hours later, she found Chance looking incredibly forlorn with a left front leg looking incredibly mummified beneath bandaging and poultice; but he was exactly what she was looking for. This incredible little black replica of our full scale horses had been known with his past owner to rip the pony hunter ring to shreds, and we're anticipating such enthusiasm with his paired twelve-year-old rider,
Chastity.
