Pirate came to
us when plans from North Dakota to import another
excellent hunter stallion fell through; and fully and
truly, we are glad that Pirate came in his stead.
Related to some of the racing industry's sturdiest and
most promising horses,, it became evident as a
yearling that Pirate would never possess the fire nor
spirit required to be a winning racer. He was sold to
a hunter/jumper stable in Wyoming, where he underwent
training but was never shown. Maia was delighted to
see this guy standing in a stall at an auction in New
Jersey and jumped at the chance to get him...2007 will
be his first year on the circuit, and we hope his
training will have been a worthwhile endeavor.
